Riley Jamison, Interfaith Garden Coordinator
Riley grew up in Wisconsin and obtained a biology degree from Luther college in the Driftless region. After college, she moved out to the Pacific Northwest to live and work at Holden village, a Lutheran retreat center in the Cascade Mountains of Central Washington. What was meant to be one year of service turned into three, during which Riley served in many roles, including Garbologist, Teacher's Assistant, and Child and Youth Program Head. While living at Holden, Riley developed a passion for understanding and developing communities, especially in a faith or spiritual context. She was especially drawn to the idea of how nature and place effect that development. Now that she is back in the good ol' Midwest, Riley is excited to serve as the Interfaith Garden Volunteer Coordinator where she can continue to facilitate and immerse herself in community all while getting down and dirty in the soil!
