Comunity Solar in Southern MN
MNIPL and the Just Solar Coalition have partnered to launch a community solar array in Southern Minnesota, providing an opportunity for homeowners, renters, churches, and businesses to support clean, local energy while saving on electricity costs. The location of the solar garden is Janesville, MN, and subscriptions are available to residents in Waseca County and all neighboring counties who are customers of Xcel Energy.
The Just Solar Coalition is committed to local control of our energy, transparent business practices, and making the benefits of the growing clean energy industry accessible to everyone.
CSG sign-ups are still happening in the southern Minnesota. If you know of folks who would like to save on electricity though cooperative solar, we would love to hear from you. MNIPL supports part of our operating budget through these solar subscription referrals, so you’d be helping support MNIPL as well. Click here to listen to our Southern MN Organizer, Briana, speak about this incredible opportunity.
If you live in St Peter and are interested in Community Solar, St Peter Public Utilities offers their own Community Solar opportunity! For more information, visit the this page on the city website or email [email protected].
