From February 20 through March 1, 2021, the Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis displayed environmental art murals created by artists who participate in MNIPL’s Youth N’ Power program. This exhibit debuted in conjunction with the annual United Nation’s World Day of Social Justice.

Analyah Schlaeger dos Santos, MNIPL Youth Program Coordinator, invited the young artists to depict their visions for the future and for their communities. The murals declare their thoughts and opinions on Environmental Justice as:

The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and polices.
