Clarks Grove community solar array is live!
For a few years now, MNIPL has worked in close partnership with Cooperative Energy Futures (CEF) to expand participation in cooperative solar energy. We’re excited to announce that the 1.3 MW community solar garden in Clarks Grove, MN (pictured above) is now fully subscribed and operational. MNIPL played a key role in this outcome and we thank the community members and staff who made this happen!
CEF is in the process of developing community solar gardens in Janesville and Faribault, and we are currently recruiting subscribers live in Blue Earth, Dakota, Dodge, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Le Sueur, Scott, Steele, Rice, or Waseca County and are Xcel customers. CEF is based in south Minneapolis and prioritizes equity and access when constructing solar gardens. If you live in one of these counties and are interested in learning more, fill out our interest form and we’ll follow up with you.
