Prayer Circle for Standing Rock

Hundreds of faith leaders across the county are responding to the call issued by Episcopal Priest Rev. John Floberg of Standing Rock. Among them are dozens of MN clergy and people of faith, including MNIPL’s Julia Nerbonne and Erin Pratt, to participate in a prayerful, peaceful and lawful action on Thursday.

Meanwhile in Minneapolis, on Thursday at noon, we will join together for a sacred time of  songs, prayers, and poems from diverse faith traditions as well as deliver letters to Hennepin County Sheriff Stanek, Wells Fargo & US Bank, who are invested in the Dakota Access Pipeline, and President Obama and the Army Corp of Engineers asking that they honor Indigenous Voices and Treaty Rights.

No matter where you live, please sign onto our letter to Sheriff Stanek, and our letter to President Obama as we call on them to act with honor and defend all we hold sacred: our children, water, and the health of all communities.

Tomorrow we'll form a sacred circle, as the Water Protectors have done day after day at Standing Rock. We hope you’ll join us.
