Become a Sustaining Congregation!

Sustaining Congregations make the great work of MNIPL possible. Through yearly financial contributions of $500-$5,000, Sustaining Congregations ensure our Be The Spark, Climate Conversations, and Youth Be the Spark Programs continue to empower leaders and strengthen the interfaith climate movement in MN and beyond! Uniting Values of Sustaining Congregations
We act on our urgent concern for the earth by providing a way to act in common with others, repairing damage we have done to the earth with action to reverse further climate change, and overcoming the sense of powerlessness or hopelessness around our ability to effectively address climate change. Tell us your congregation's values!

Benefits of Becoming a Sustaining Congregation
By becoming a Sustaining Congregation, faith communities gain more comprehensive access to all MNIPL has to offer. You'll receive access to our staff consulting, regular email updates on campaigns and policy action to engage in, access to materials for tabling, opportunities to serve on and learn from one of our solar, policy, divestment, or spiritual teams, and the chance to share your story in an online profile featured on MNIPL's website. We want to connect, uplift, and engage your congregation in taking action on climate change.

Options for Giving
We want you to give an amount that works for your congregation, of which there are many ideas below. We’d also love to work with you to come up with a creative fundraising plan for your congregation.

Pass the PlateDedicate part of your weekly offering to MNIPL. Many congregations choose one month of the year to ask for special offerings. We'd be happy to come speak to your community about our work during the time that you collect the offering. Click here for a sample bulletin announcement.

Sponsorship - Help sponsor participants in our Be The Spark and Youth Be The Spark workshops. Giving $200 provides a full scholarship to one participant.

Some of our members have organized concerts, established a quarterly plate offering on behalf of MNIPL, or even just written to the leadership of the congregation to request designated outreach funds go to the interfaith climate movement. How can your congregation help sustain MNIPL?
