Interfaith Iftar

Join us on the Patio of the Cedar Cultural Center Patio for our annual Interfaith Iftar at Northern Spark 2017!

The overnight Northern Spark festival falls during Ramadan, a season of fasting and reflection for Muslims all over the world beginning Friday, May 26 and ending the evening of Saturday, June 24. We invite you to join us for a community Interfaith Iftar, to break bread with our Muslim brothers and sisters and enjoy conversation, connection, and festive celebration. Our evening together will begin at sunset (8:58 pm) with a live, poetic call to prayer (Adhan), and continue as we break fast with a full meal from local, Muslim owned restaurant, Gandhi Mahal. Limited seats will be available first come, first served. We'll also have inspiring words from Muslim religious leaders.

Reserve your spot today!

To end the evening, all are welcome after the meal to sample treats from local business engage in a storytelling circle that will focus on each of our Environmental Ancestry. We encourage all to come with open hearts and minds and a willingness to tell your story. No reservation necessary.

Everyone is welcome, and we invite you to fast with us if you are able. Learn more about fasting here. MNIPL is also looking for volunteers. Sign up to volunteer and help make the night a success!

Many thanks to the Bush Foundation for making this event possible!
